Awards well won!

Just after mid term break our girls received awards in a wide variety of competitions.

Their participation in activities, displays and competitions is a very important part of their education with us. We are very proud that they are working on developing and honing their skills and that they have the courage to perform and be judged. Whether they win top place or not is immaterial - we are all a work in progress.

Big congratulations to every one of them!

Deputy Head Girl Emily won so many trophies for Irish Dancing she needed help holding them!

Her teacher, Mrs O’Sullivan, is delighted with her as we all are.

These are some of our prize winning photographers who swept the board in the A.I.J.S. Photography Competition. We will mount a display their winning photographs in the Assembly Room.

The girls who study singing and musicianship in school with Mrs O’Brien entered Feis Maitiú. Heather came 4th and Meadhbh 3rd in their category. A wonderful achievement.

On Saturday 25 February, a representative group from 6th Class, with their teacher Mrs O’Brien, attended a ceremony at the Lifetime Lab where the Deputy Lord Mayor presented them with 1st Prize in the whole class category for their Cork Schools History Project.
