Gardening

Our gardening is coming along again. The job that Mrs O’Brien and 3rd Class inspired us with last year is now being picked up by the whole school. Karen Hickey, who is an avid gardener, grower and 5th Class mum, spent the week before our mid-term break, giving short classes on planting spring bulbs to every class.

She has also supplied us with planters, plants and wonderful ideas which every class will be able to become involved in during the coming weeks.

Thanks to Sinéad Martin’s intervention, we now have easy access to our front gardens so our classes will be gardening in our yard, the side garden and the two front gardens.
