Miss Mary O’Donovan RIP

Miss O’Donovan, co-founder of our school and vivacious guiding light for pupils and staff alike, died last Sunday morning.

She leaves an outstanding legacy in education for women, particularly Cork women, which spans the last 70 years.

Those of us who have been fortunate enough to have worked with her or under her aegis, will forever be inspired by her approach to education which was full of love, unblinking courage, insight and a tremendous sense of humour.

She will always be our beacon, shining clearly and brightly.

May she rest in peace.
