Treats for St Vincent de Paul

We know how difficult Christmas time can be for some families - when treats and extras would be the last thing on the list.

In the Junior School, the girls traditionally bring gifts to leave at the altar during the Carol Service in St Mary’s which SVP collect at the end of the service. As that cannot happen this year, we put out the call to all of our parents, to bring the gifts to school instead. The volunteers at SVP provided us with a list of items they will be distributing to their client families.

The response was magnificent. As usual, the generosity and kindness of our school community has been demonstrated very clearly. Thank you to all who took part. The volunteer from SVP who came to pick up the collection was overwhelmed.

6th Class were brilliant helping to load the van quickly and efficiently and Mrs Lingwood managed to get a photo.
