Coding at SMJS

At SMJS we have always recognised the importance of making coding available in the school.

We had a problem with patchy internet, ageing laptops, then Mrs Kennedy, who used to teach coding, changed her career path and then COVID hit!

Since all of that, with the help of our Parents’ Council, Stryker came to our rescue with 16 brand new Chromebooks, our wifi has been sorted out and Ms Riordan, a STEM enthusiast, joined our staff.

We now have two fully subscribed afterschool coding classes run by Ms Riordan and all is right in our coding world!
