Diabetes Day

Last 14 November we held a Diabetes Awareness Day which was facilitated by Niamh Power. She ran it as a joint fundraiser between CBC and our school, in aid of the Paediatric Diabetes Unit in CUH.

All the pupils learned a lot about diabetes and also had great fun with all the activities involved, including wearing something blue for the day.

Between the schools, we raised an amazing €4,600.00 for the unit.

On Wednesday 8 March, Professor Colin Hawkes from the Paediatric Diabetes Unit visited our school to receive the cheque.
